Trunk or Treat 10/30
Thank you to all who signed up to serve at Trunk or Treat this year. We have grown from just 10 trunks to 20! There will be a photo booth, mechanical bull, live music and MORE! Make sure your student has their costume ready and a pillow case in hand to store all the candy they will be getting. And what is better to wash down a ton of candy than a FREE COFFEE from Rival?! The night starts @ 7:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. We're getting close, can’t wait!
Sermon Preview
This week we continue in our series “Respectable Sins”, specifically looking at the topic of SPEECH. Often when explaining the sermon series of Respectable Sins, people will immediately say something to the extent of, “Oh like gossip.” It seems to be that sins of speech are well known as tolerated in Christian circles. This is definitely amplified in our culture and in the world of high school. God takes seriously the way in which we speak and that is exactly what we will be looking at Wednesday night.
Here are some questions to ask your student on the ride home:
Why does God care about the way we talk?
How have you tolerated unwholesome words in your life?
What can we do to ‘tame our tongues’?
In Him,
